Hundreds of dead fish wash up on beaches in Mauritius

Hundreds of dead fish littered last Sunday the beaches of Pointe – aux-Sables, bath-des-Dames and les Salines in Mauritius. The authorities suspect that jacks, mullets, eels, tuna and “shoemakers have been poisoned. He was asked the public not to consume. 
 
Yesterday, the beaches have been cleaned by officers of the Ministry of fisheries and the Mauritius Ports Authority. 
 
Water and fish samples were collected and sent to the laboratory to determine the exact cause of this phenomenon.
