Tons of fish die in a lake in Hanoi, Vietnam
In the West Lake area passing through Nhat Chieu Road (Quang An, Tay Ho, Hanoi), 4 workers, people standing on the shore, people standing in the water gathered, packed tons of dead fish into sacks stop.
The work of salvaging, cleaning fish lasted until dawn this morning. Dead fish are mainly tilapia, sesame weighs about half a pound each. The corpses were densely packed in a cage about 30 m3 wide. About 100 bags are used to store dead fish, before being gathered into the car for handling.
This is not the first time that West Lake fish die. The last time on July 7-9, the surface of the white lake of West Lake cleared the body of fish floating on the surface of the water. More than 20 tons of dead fish have been collected. In 2016, Hanoi salvaged about 200 tons of dead fish at the lake, then the City People’s Committee announced the cause is due to wastewater and weather changes.
